B.P.R 2,798
Gave this a little go... took me no more than half an hour to knock up.... anybody could do it in the same amount of time... My jigsaw was set at a small angle... which gave an uneven cut...one side thicker than the other... But without fixing it too much.... i just cracked on with the idea.... Purely to see how it shot... I scrimped on the sanding and finishing... not too bothered about that... Heres is what i came up with... Its comfy to hold.... no pressure on the wrist...and with a set of HEAVY bands... its effortless... Cons.... Its not pocketable... bulky.... and a bit clumsy... BUT... would be good for somebody with bad hands...poor grip and such... Could also be taken apart... the forks dont need to be secured in... it would shoot without any sort of screw/glue....making it 'flatpack'.... Anyhow... heres a few pics... will be sure to make a better version... thicker pistol grip and take time to finish it properly... probably over the christmas period... Cheers
RossM 8,119
Agree that it shoots well, did you give my idea any further thought?

But in theory it could be used without... i had a few shots and it wasnt moving ... Ross...aye... ill see if that feasable when i next get the urge to make slingshites ... Blackbriar 8,569
I had the plans for a smaller version of this..........think it was called a 'ring slinger'. It had a pinky hole and was built as a take-down type, in 12mm ply, if memory serves. Don't know what happened to the drawings, but this has jogged a memory - might give it a go, if I can find it !
