woodman, try going out on a moonless night with no wind, it works.

 

ok you have to slow down and take even more care with sound but a good black night is still worth a try. you have to think a bit more about the way you approach your drop but you will still get results :thumbs:

Hello woodman i noticed in one of your pictures you use Night vision. i should image it increases the bag considerably and saves on wasted drops. :thumbs:
yes mate it does,at the moment i just walk over there, spot them with the nv and just do 1 drop.it takes me 30mins to walk there and 30 mins back so 2 or 3 a time is a comfortable carry.i go nearly every night so always got fresh ferret food.all the best

yukon nv tracker by sibir or a d3mk,bought 2 d3mk,s and the nv tracker off soviet bazaar just before they went to the wall for £450 about 2-3 years ago.i keep the d3mk,s on my rifles

and use the nv tracker for longnetting,i also bought the hth-211 pro infrared lazer thats on the above rifles(the dot can only be seen through night vision optics,so no red dot panning around to frighten quarry) and 2 100mw infrared illuminators(although i find a tracer atom lamp with infrared lens the best,hope this helps.all the best
