Not this year. (It's generally famous for large Whitetail Bucks.)

Despite the appearance thats all fresh water. But I do spear pike through the ice in Michigan.

I like them. They are a little tricky to fillet with those Y bones. But a nice firm meat in the winter. They say the farther away from their spawn time is the best for eating. So that would around September - October over here. But mostly I hunt then.
