bugg 84
Hi all, does using a PCP in cold conditions affect the performance in anyway or is there anything different you should do whilst out in such conditions? Tia Quote Link to post
Daz39 962
Didn't affect me last night more likely to impact the pellets than the gun. Just don't lick the barrel if it gets frost on it LOL 2 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
You might find the POI is lower, as cold air is more dense (ie thicker) and the pellets slow down quicker in thicker air, conversely you may also notice an inrease in miles per gallon in your car due to the same effect! Daz39 962
POI drop 0.001mm over 30 yrds - air thickness increased from dishwater to tomato soup LOL Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
I have done a little testing .A LITTLE TESTING I fell pcp loose a little power in the cold and spring guns get a little bit more power in the cold .This is just my limited testing but I feel I am correct but I could be wrong .
