wild rover 548
I have a similar set up you with the hole into the shed but I also have an oil filled radiator on a timer for the very hard frost nights, it comes on every couple of hours and stops the waters freezing and makes it a bit warmer.

Maybe your right.....since ive cut a hole in the door ive noticed none of them have gone in it yet ......im not sure if its because they are dubious of going into an enclosed space or what.......im hoping when i put some heat in the shed it will entice them in..............or if they are happy outside so be it just thought it best to give them the option. the_stig 6,614
fairly hardy things gnash if they`ve got a draught proof area they`ll get up and out the way my mate puts polycarbonate sheet on one side and part of the front and they tend to get up into the conifer in that corner.. Put a light on in there and leave it on for a bit after dark and your'll find a few will go in,but as the saying goes birds of a feather will flock together and most will go to roost where the main body of birds go.Plenty of cover for them and there usaly happy enough and like bunny says it's drafts that do them in.
