Wxm 1,638
I think at 15 it's not so bad as they need it for school ect but I'd defo still have a sneak look to see what their upto on it. My daughter to my ex is 8 and she's banging on that her mums getting her a mobile for Xmas and I've made my views on this well clear that I don not want her to have 1, but knowing my ex she won't listen. But she will not be bringing it to mine when she stays. Also my (partners) daughter is 9 (10 in dec) wants a tablet and I still think she's too young to have or need access to the Internet but that's just my opinion and will try my hardest to divert it to something more suitable

johnny boy68 11,726
Cheers lads I've taken all the advice on board and will check them out when I go to Cardiff. I had a little play on a nexus 7 yesterday and that seems quite a handy little thing so maybe I may go for that. And Sheldon I'm dissapointed in you I thought these "thingys" would've been right up your street.

Frann 882
I have Nexus 7 (not the 2013 version) but theres not that much of a difference between the older version (in my opinion) and you could get it for under £200. As others have said, its a really good tablet. Go onto some techie sites and geeks rate it very highly. Its proper smart

Malt 379
i pads are ptretty goodThey are good at what they do but they don't do half as much as a decent android tablet, and even jailbroken my iPad 2 don't do what my boys much cheaper nexus 7 can do out of the box.. Malt 379
More free apps and much bigger choice about where you get them from, better connectivity with other electronic equipment like PC's, more support for peripherals (gaming, chargers, etc) less of the system locked away from you, etc..
