jack lee 137
try some east start fluid in the air intake, just get a mate to turn the engine over, and you squit some in ,not to much ,cause you could bring up the compression to high, wait a few and try again,if this does not work, get the b*****d on to a computer, any good garage will have one,it should point the direction of your problem

IanB 0
I had problems with my TD5 a lad said it was my fuel pump on its way out, I took a look on the internet and theres actially two relays under the drivers seat, I think one was sticking or not working, I replaced one, sometimes taking them out and putting them back in worked.. The symptoms were it just turned over and wouldn't fire up, sometimes had to keep turning the key then it would randomly start... Take a look at your relays might be a long shot, but could be an easy fix..
jamie mc 168
Have you tried changing the crank position sensor? That is the only sensor that will stop a TD5 running .
hairyface 211
I wish you had been on last night ian, its in the garage now and he could tell anything and id believe him, wouldn't know where to look for the crank position sensor Jamie, having said that it wouldn't start once before at a filling station, I assumed it had ran out just as I got there as it wouldn't start after id filled it, and a bloke said something about a crank sensor, anyhow I pumped it five times and put into bleed mode for a couple of minutes and she fired, i'll keep yous inform of what he says, cheers
