What cal is it mate. Maybe the recoil is knocking scope out or the scope is knackered. I've had a nikko scope do the same thing on a air rifle zero it perfect then all of a sudden it went all over the place. Then realised the crosshair reticle was snapped. Also had same with another nikko some years ago it was fine for months and then played up replaced scope with hawke and hey presto bob on ;)

Wooow hold your horses fella, now I dont know if the barrel on your rifle is meant to be free floating or pressure bed, but the easy way to find out is to take off the stock and see if there is a bedding area touching the underside of the barrel, if it has then it is pressure bed by the factory, now if you wish to remove it and float the barrel is up to you, but it would be the very last thing I would look at, 1. are you cleaning the rifle between shooting it?

2.do you have a moderator fitted? If so is it lined up properly and not coming loose?

3.are you using the same ammo everytime?

4.are your mounts/bases tight and have not suffered a knock?

5. have you removed the moderator and checked the crown? If the crown is damaged then

your rifle will spray like a ak47.

After you have checked and double checked and eliminated all these things, change the scope. re zero and see if your scope is at fault, there are other factors that COULD be involved but check these first and let us know the result, if you are not sure on any of these points, get a competent gunsmith to check for you, good luck and let us know the results.

Ok mate, had you cleaned it prior to missing the roe? Then when you got it "spot on" did you clean it again? What I am getting at mate is that some rifles wont shoot to point of aim clean, and need several rounds down them to foul the rifling with copper, then come back to zero, It might be worth taking it out, shooting a group you are happy with, then take it home, do not clean it, then take it out again and see if it shoots to point of aim again, the fact that you say it was spot on suggests that the crown is ok or it would not zero at all, if you have eliminated all the above, then the logical thing is to suspect the scope, so change it and re zero, make sure your stock screws are tight as well, if you get stuck mate bring it down to Sheffield and I will have a look for you mate, I am begining to suspect your cleaning regime is the problem, but I could be barking up the wrong tree, if you are leaving it between zero let me know.

ok mate i did not clean it before i missed the roe i had shot quite a few roe prior to missing the last one i have a mate who has the same gun and he says to put a £10 note in the foreend and it should slide down between barrel and stock to the actioni have tried this and mine only goes about 4 inches

i have removed the stock and there was and obstruction i sanded it down lightly and put back on the £10 passes right trough to the action now going out on friday to test it will let you know the results

When you say an "obstruction" do you mean a foreign body,or a permanent, integral piece of the stock? Because if its the latter then that will undoubtedly have been the pressure bedding put their by the factory, however, you may find, (hope you do) that your rifle shoots better with it removed, as I did with my Weatherby, when I fitted a custom stock, or it may be worse, if that is the case you will have to either bed the barrel, or shim it under the pressure point, with various thickness shims to get the pressure right, but lets hope you have sorted it now.
