gonetoearth 5,144
Brookie Am a boxing lets say fan, in saying that i take every boxer as good as their last fight , I never get embroiled in Egos were boxers are concerned as the pro game encurages show man ship to put bums on seats. And usually after the fight has taken place the opponents give each other the respect due , Your alligence to your frends or family is normal. We have all done it its no problem. but it can over shadow your views some times , my opinion on david price have changed not as a person but as to his current boxing status his next fight is make or break , tysons carear is still on course , boxing is cruel and the hardest way to make a living there are NO cowards in boxing some just dont have the champion in them others have it and loose it. As ive allways said any one who don's the gloves and steps through the ropes and stands toe to toe and trades punches HAS and always WILL HAVE my total RESPECT !!!! christian71 3,187
'Tyson Fury Announces Shock Retirement From Boxing!' What do you think of Tyson Fury's retirement from boxing? Tyson Fury has stunned boxing fans by announcing his shock and sudden retirement from the sport today. The undefeated, 6'9 heavyweight announced his shock decision earlier, breaking the sensational news to his fans on Twitter. Fury came to his decision to retire from boxing following the breakdown of a rescheduled fight with former undisputed cruiserweight world champion and former heavyweight world champion David Haye, which was set for February 8. Fury stated that there are too many untrustworthy and deceitful people within boxing, and that he can no longer be bothered dealing with them, and has therefore decided to retire. Fury tweeted: "Hi everyone, I have officially retired from boxing. There are too many bent people in the sport. They will have to f**k someone else. Goodbye boxing." Whether Fury will stick to his decision or make a comeback in the near, or perhaps distant, future, remains to be seen. The 6'9 former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion is still only 25 years old, and holds a record of 21-0, with 15 wins coming by way of knockout. He holds wins over the likes of Kevin Johnson, Steve Cunningham and Dereck Chisora in his 21 fight career, and was set to meet former 2 division world champion Haye (26-2, 24KOs) in a big money UK super fight. However, Haye was forced out of their September 28 meeting after sustaining a nasty cut in sparring the week before the fight. The fight was rescheduled for February 8, but Haye was then forced to undergo reconstructive shoulder surgery in an attempt to repair a serious injury. However, the surgery was deemed unsuccessful, and Haye was advised by doctors to retire from boxing, forcing him out of the highly anticipated Fury bout. Now, despite talk that he would face American knockout artist Deontay Wilder (30-0, 30KOs), it seems the controversial and volatile Fury has followed the lead of his British rival by announcing his retirement from boxing. Whether his decision will be final, remains to be seen.
