hi mate thanks for the link most of the discussion is on export / import within EU im planing on bringing from india to uk ,

although recently india declared its self free from bird flue

If you follow the defra link it comes up page not found 404. But if you type importing hatching eggs in the search bar you will get some info there. From what I understand, it is legal, but you will need a licence from defra. Also the xray machines ca scupper the chances of the eggs being fertile.

Years ago a friend bought me back some eggs from Thailand. He wrapped them in carbon paper individually then in a towel in his suitcase.Out of 14 eggs 6 hatched, 3 cocks ,3 hens, i was very happy! The carbon paper is supposed to combat the x rays.
