Pedwar 320
Shooters were warned the antis would turn thier attention towards them after they'd got hunting banned, they didnt side with us then so its thier turn now You mean 'some' didn't. Sorry...most shooters didnt give a f**k about us so long as they thought they were safe

Sorry...most shooters didnt give a f**k about us so long as they thought they were safe Classic divide and rule. If we don't learn the mistakes of the past, we're doomed to repeat them. Fieldsports will be dead in 20 years if we keep this up. The only hunting we'll be doing is in the meat isle, at Sains-Troseco...

I agree, perhaps the shooters and anglers should have thought about that when we were up against the wall
ChrisJones 7,975
I agree, perhaps the shooters and anglers should have thought about that when we were up against the wall Rightly, or wrongly, because of that we're no longer a fieldsports community. We're a collection of disciplines being picked off by a political agenda. I don't blame anyone for thinking that way, but while we all point the finger we lose something that the antis do have... alimac 882
Pedwar, where did you get you figures from of who turned up for the marches etc as I'd guess that the hunting fraternity were no1 followed by game shooters at no2, with terrier & lurcher lads thereafter. I know 90% of those on the train from Aberdeen were from shoots...

gonetoearth 5,144
This shooters dont care is a load of Shiite may i remind you the loop hole to continue terrier work revolves around THE PROTECTION OF GAMEBIRDS , there are probly 5 / 6. Thousand active antis with support of lets say. 100,000 It was not the active presence that got coursing banned its was the laziness of the higher echelons of the field sports community As ive droned on before what happened to the 100s of 100,000s raised by BFSS what happened to the money raised by wagbi , why did the country side alliance only appear on the onslaught. Of the hunting act , There was s o much apathy we let them ban it they took the moral high ground and we let them they bribed lobbied while we thought it would not happen all the marches yes great but why preach to the all ready converted , the general public in reality don't give a flying fook. Its the same old faces that turn up to protest with a few get paids , there is work being done behind the scenes but it will never make any difference to most on here unless you hunt with hounds , coursing took the brunt because it was captive the antis could stand side by side while the tv filmed it going on in front of them only showing the kill not the conservation of the land etc or the eco system to support the brown hare , want it back win harts and minds spend the money on the un educated , propaganda the oldest. Tool and we throw a few ads on telegraph poles with a nurse who hunts on while Braindead may steals the moral high ground once again. Battles need fighting before you win the war

paulus 26
shoots should club together and get an injunction the same as natural england did at the start of the badger cull. any interference is a breach of the injunction even trespassing
