shaaark 10,907
After a bit of extra info on the weight really. Handled one without a scope in the gun dealers and it felt very nice, if a tiny bit heavy. Tried the 95k and a few others and they felt very light and I had more of a problem aiming and sighting these steady. Would the fact that I haven't used an air rifle in years make the feel heavier than it really is, and would I get used to the weight the more I use it? I weigh 14 1/2 stone and some of the lighter rifles did feel really too light. All thoughts, advice etc gratefully received Quote Link to post
webster 90
i have 2 80s one in .22 and a .177 and have never had a problem with the weight im 13st and work in the building trade so noodle arms aint a problem i had a hw95 before the 80s and found it too light for me the weight helps hold the gun on target and really tames the recoil if the weight does get too much fit a sling for carrying it but as i said i have no probs with the weight . 1 Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
Hi Buddy The weight thing is a myth. You'll get used to it, it dampens recoil and helps you keep on aim. My 2 favorite airguns are my '77 and '97 and neither of them are heavy to shoot. If you are walking around all day, you may want to fit a sling though! Oh, I'm 6' and 11st 10, so hardly a brick privy! 1 Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
I'm 5'11 12 stone of pure beer belly, no muscle on me at all, king of the noodle arms brigade.. but I also found my old hw95k too light for me. the hw77 hw98 and hw100 I have now are all just about perfect! any lighter and the fly allover the shop and cant keep them steady! and I carry my guns around all day, the sling is not a must have, but I would recommend one, even if its just so you can put your hands in your pockets so they don't get cold. get the mate youl love it, you will get used to the weight anyway. bilbobagins 92
the recoil on a tuned is probably the least of all spring guns because of the size of the piston chamber and the weight of the gun 1 Quote Link to post

murkey 0
I have a 80k and it's fine for weight but like any rifle you couldn't hold it for hours on end.. Try the used section you will save a lot on a new one.. Quote Link to post
