who do you think will win Price vs Chisora?...

Promoter Frank Warren today won the purse bids for the big heavyweight clash between British and Commonwealth champion David Price and European champion Dereck Chisora. The fight was ordered by the British Boxing Board of Control, who ordered Price to defend his title against mandatory challenger Chisora. A date and venue will be advised within the 2 week deadline imposed by the BBBofC.

Chisora (18-4, 12KOs) has already held the British and Commonwealth titles in his career. He won the British title in May 2010 with a 3rd round knockout win over Danny Williams, before defending his title with a 9th round knockout win over Commonwealth champion Sam Sexton to unify both titles. However, he then came in drastically overweight for a title defence against Tyson Fury in July 2011, and, despite rocking Fury a few times in the bout, dropped a unanimous decision to lose his titles.

Chisora then went on to get robbed in a European title fight against Robert Helenius in his home country of Finland, losing a split decision, before pushing WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko all the way in a competitive decision loss. Chisora then met former undisputed cruiserweight world champion and WBA heavyweight world champion David Haye in July 2012, losing by 5th round knockout.

The new, slim, dedicated Chisora has rebuilt his career in 2013. He returned in April, knocking out journeyman Hector Avila, before recording an impressive 6th round knockout win over previously undefeated American Malik Scott in July to win the WBO International title. Chisora then won the European title in September with a 5th round knockout victory over Edmund Gerber. He is now preparing for a European title defence against undefeated Italian Matteo Mogundo on November 30, before a potential triple title showdown against Price at the start of next year.

Price (15-2, 13KOs) is looking to rebuild his career under new trainer Adam Booth, following 2 consecutive knockout losses to former world title challenger Tony Thompson in February and July. He won the British title with a 1st round knockout win over John McDermott in January 2012, before knocking out Sam Sexton in 4 rounds to also claim the Commonwealth title. He then knocked out 2000 Olympic Gold Medallist and former world title challenger Audley Harrison in 1 round last October, before knocking out Matt Skelton in 2 rounds last November. Then came the 2 knockout losses to Thompson, leaving Price to rebuild his career.

Chisora is looking forward to the potential fight against Price. "I'm concentrating on the undefeated Italian Modugno right now and defending my European title is my priority, but I'm excited that I'll be facing Price. I do miss holding the British title though, it's a beautiful belt and I want to win it again on the way to the world title."

chisora for me ...if he`s switched on

A career ending fight for both !!!!

I hold chisora in high regard he has proven him self a worthy opponent On many occasions his style may prove to be the undoing of price as price likes to box at range using his jab it obvious del

Much as id like Delboy to win i think Price is all wrong for him.

stylewise gnash?

I think so mate yes.......Chisora doesnt hit particularly hard,he doesnt close distance down quick, and if Price gets behind his jab he,ll pull Delboy into making mistakes...................and after all said and done Price is a tremendous puncher im not sure Chisora has the gears to switch up he,s a very one paced fighter who does what he does very well but whether he can figure out plans b and c im not so sure.

Price had his confidence rocked by Thomson leading to the split with his coach , if he.comes back pre Thomson I fancy him think the first couple of rounds will set the stall out , if the fight takes place

prices got more to prove --- win or lose I think chisora will grind a living out of boxing for a few years .. .and a win for price will put is career back on track. tricky one
