When we shoot at Old Downs Pursuits, we have to book in and then walk a couple of hundred yards along a public highway to get to the entrance of the shoot.

I've seen some shooters with a broken shotty over their shoulder.

The rest of us are sensible enough to keep our rifles in a bag.

i'd inquire further tbh.... that means the manufacturer cant deliver it unless theres an enclose car/van bay on private property, and of course every gun club would need to be the same.

 

i suspect you cant walk in publick place with no lagit destinasion, i.e. you could at one time near enough walk around no case as long as the barrel was broken to show it wasnt ready fire, like the shotgun thing, you could walk up a lane butthe barrels had to broken open to show it wasnt 'ready', then that law changed to needed a case or sealed/fastened, at that point a sheet and a belt around it as long as you couldnt use the thing, then only a gun bag.... and last but not least you cant just go walk about now, you need to be going to or from a lagit place, i.e. shop..club or your shoot.(the big old grey area of yeh but can you goto your mates house to pick him up because its not a direct route)

you can own and use a legal limit air gun... then he sais yeh but you cant even take it to your car? it directly contravenes jthe law statng you can use one legally... so there must be 'more in the clawses'...
