Best .223 Ammo For Fox?

Hi guys just wandering your thoughts on .223 ammo for fox? Ill be using a cz527 or a howa 1500. Probably a cz527 though thanks in advance

whatever groups well at what ever range you expect to see them.

Cheers Worthy130. I've been looking at the hornady v-max 55grns they look preety good. I do intend to bye a few different boxes of 20 rounds to test it. But I'm using it for fox upto 200yards max. Normal shooting ranges 100-150yards for fox

iv been looking into it to and a lot of people seem to like Hornady 40 grain v-max and also Hornady 53 grain supeformence v-max. the ballistics for the superformence are equivalent to standard 22-250 amo according to Hornady. ill be picking up my .223 soon and ill be trying out both.

I originally asked for .22-250 he said yes once experianced rimfire but now I've decided on .223. I agree everyone highly rates hornady ammo

Another vote for hornady the varmint express and superformance are brilliant through my t3 varmint in 223.

i was using 55 grain federals but have swapped to 55 grain hornady ballistic tips recently, yet to have night out to see what there like

What a crock of sh ite , I'd get onto BASC / your organisation pal, if you've got a valid reason (foxing) then they shouldn't be able to refuse you.

For pure stopping power out to about 200yards a V-max is as good as anything and better than a lot, the make is neither here nor there!

 

SP or HP also work well but you will need to place then slightly more precisely.

 

Frankly, at circa 1000-1300ft lb., you can put any .223 ammo you like in the right place and the result will be the same!

I use sierra 50gn varminter blitz ( not blitzking ) no diff in performance but much cheaper to buy
