I used this stain, other colours available but the final product colour doesn't seem to match the colour on the advert but looked at lots of online pictures of gel stain colours until I was happy to pay £17.00 a tin. I then finished off with 4 very light thin coats of this Danish oil 250ml is loads, also the stain is big for what you need, the secret to using both of these products is to apply correctly (very thin) wipe off excess and allow at least 24hrs drying time between coats, I would say 48/72 hrs for the stain to fully dry before the Danish.. I done 2 coats of stain but I reckon 1 decent coat would be enough, thing is when you apply it it looks a bit naff but after it has been on the wood for about a minute wipe it all off going with the grain with a lint free cloth, this evens out the colour, I found using 2 coats you have to be careful not to let it get patchy otherwise its a wipe down with white spirit and start again job!! murkey..
