Thoughts On Lurchers

Recommended Posts

You keep your dog well fed exercised and in good condition but you cant get out to work the dog as often as you like because of family work and that your limited by not driving and that the area you live in doesn't hold that much game.

Taking that into account would you still expect the lurcher you have tp still put a good heaf of game in the bag and try his heart out when the opportunity arose.

Im a great believer in - you cant make a dog good

A good dog is born

You can ruin a good dog

Plenty of work only sharpens a dog improves strike and knowledge of quarry

And a dog wont do something if it doesnt want to regardless of the work you give it

Some dogs wont reach their full potential & others will never be fully tested

Some people can get more out of a dog than others and some dogs are just heart ache..

The best workers tend to be owned by the keenest of lads, not these weekend warriors.

You cant expect a dog to sit in a kennel all week and perform its very best..

Its not always the case you get back what you put in, but its got to be more of a step, in the right direction :victory:
