Minshaw Dogs, Is There Such A Thing?

I stand corrected paulus, 480 I think it's safe to say his dogs can be classed as Minshaw but the lad Arron pheasant pluckers son, recently throwing out challenges under the guise Minshaw, me thinks not.

The lads that have kept them for a good few years now are happy with them and if you look at some of the old pics of bags taken then you do have to admit they have been handy dogs over the years for them so why should they fix something that isn't broken?.

But if those that knock can show us some pics of proper bags taken with proper dogs rather than the minshaws then here's your chance .

As for minshaws or not it's like the terriers and gouldy,stevens,middleton or nuttal bred stuff,it's just a way of describing the roots of their dogs rather than saying their full blooded minshaws as andy and co have been breeding their own for more years than they owned dogs from minshaw himself so really are they minshaw or andy line dogs?. .Just had one down here for the weekend anyway and did well running stuff both day and night and can't complain about any dog when it puts game in the bag that's for sure .

Tbh I think the new line of collie cur well say new but last 20yrs should really be carrying the mans name who put the effort in to producing the line. Should be carrying Andy's tag tbh

Minshaw himself stopped running the line in 90's I think , Andy might be able to clarify. It's Andy who has took them in the direction they've gone.

now that's a post, well said fireman and agree 100%. As I asked, can they still be classed as Minshaw and as you say, Andy's done more to the breed than Minshaw.

There are a few lads from Whitehaven, Workington area who deserve a lot more credit than they ever got for keeping the blood going and I am not talking about ASD. If keeping the blood decent was left to ASD it would of been f****d at least 15 year ago.

But like i say c hall all Andy and his lads have done is bred worker to worker for themselves so how could they have f****d it up 15 years ago as they never have or ever claimed to be the guardians of the line?.But if you know better about Andy's breeding and what he should have done for himself instead then pray please tell us and i'll let him know where he went wrong .
