shell 42
has anybody any experience of either of these breeds for genuine work. I know there fairly vocal but this shouldnt be a problem on permission. Their feet and constitution looks as if they'd be ideal for hunting really rough shit land. In their own countries eg malta, spain, Balearic islands, they hunt on volcanic soil and really rough boulder strewn stuff. at the end of the day they are their equivalent of our lurchers. The price tag attached to pups of £700 is very off putting. I was just very interested to see if anyone had ever done anything with them? Probably the blood stock of both of these breeds in this country tend to me heavily show bred specimens, like the early salukis that were imported into this country. All the best, malc Quote Link to post

TOMO 26,193
If I were you and your dead set on this type,,, I would get myself over to Majorca ,, when they have the field trial events,, hunting rabbits in completions ,,, get talking to the owners,, if you can get round the lingo,, and secure a pup or two that way,, and pay for the passports ect,,, cos the ones I've seen here look different to the ones over there. 1 Quote Link to post
