hi guys,

as a kid i used to do quite a bit of ferreting and shooting, just getting back into it starting last winter so im startin from scratch,i have picked up a cheap bsa meteor and restored it to get me going. i have 4 ferrets 2 hobs what i used last year and i have recently baught 2 jills because my hobs struggle to get through the net without messin it up, i have also started making my own nets, using spun poly from aguiti and its spot on. now ive got the hangof making them i have bought some more spun poly 8s and its alot thinner than the twine i got in the starter kit, does anyone no if this will matter??

thanks

Hi chap an welcome umm no I won't make a difference as long as you are happy with the nets if there used for bramble hedge runs then thinner won't last quite so long being ripped out my personal opinion as made nets for ages best to make in my opinion is hemp best to look at easy to find in the field spun nylon if double knotted its brilliant stuff yet to use spun poly seems a pain to make from what I've herd so ain botherd

I dont know what z you would rate my spun nylon at its no to heavy but ive never been able to snap it while im knitting and that speaks volumes to me .

Never usually struggle for a bit of permission and seeing the amount of rabbits running about i dont think i will struggle to get more this year
