I'm not discrediting then because they speak well. I'm simply asking have they got their hands dirty? They look very clean and well spoken compared to the mates I know have signed up for the army. For a start they're not in the Army. The armed forces come under the MOD, MI6 comes under the foreign office and MI5 comes under the home office. You won't find them on patrol in Hellmand like army infantry, infact you wont find them anywhere, they're too good for that. They gather intelligence and probably but certainly not confirmed are involved in direct action often alongside SAS, SBS & SRR. Read a bit about them and see if you think they get involved....

 

The marine broke the geneva convention and got caught, there isn't any defending that. We can't just say "f**k it the convention", the implications would be profound. Those marines f****d up, I don't think they did f**k all wrong really but they knew the law and f****d up, once it got out our Gov/MOD had no choice.

And often in those cases there are plausible ways to get around it. Plenty of executions have taken place by British SFs, but they're a bit more tactfull in their approach and tend to be taking out serious players. Christ after the embassy seige one lad was gonna execute the only surviving terrorist untill he was reminded the world was watching, LOL. There's another claim that one of the terrorists in the embassay had surrendered before the trooper entered through the window, walked up to the unarmed terrorist and slotted him with his side arm! It happens and is a dirty bussiness but ffs don't film it with a confession and then just incase the film goes missing also write it in your diary! LOL

Look mate, it's this simple we have to be seen to be above board. We have to be able to take the moral high ground otherwise the world will fall into anarchy, nobody following any rules other than their own. We've been there before and millions paid the price in wars worse than this one, that's why we have the GC, it is failing us in the gorilla type wars but we have to be seen to play by the rules.
