Recommend Me A Cz 22 Rimfire

Recommended Posts

Looking around, a cz 22 rimfire looks like it will fit the bill.

Will need it sound mod.

Couple of models look like they are current, but the more I look about..... you know how it is.

So, what model do you like and why. Im not going to be doing much walkng with it, so heavier barrel is not a problem.

452 Silhouette synthetic 16inch.   This one has the new synthetic stock, slightly soft rubbery feel opposed to hard plastic feel if that makes sense.....

My vote is the 452 16" varmint with a nice wood stock. I use mine a fair bit and now the wood isn't perfect but still looks (to me) better than some black plastic stock. I prefer the weightier feel to

As far as I can tell, the later ones than mine have a few updates like set trigger and so on. Mine works perfectly as it is. They still sell the 452 new for us cack-handers, so can't be all bad.

Nice one Walshie, not sure id get any replies as its a dumb novice q? LOL

Ive been trying to work out if there are older/newer model numbers, youve sort of answered it.

Been hunting around for 2nd hand but giving up, so looks like ill be buying new, bit worrying as if you buy 2nd hand and it dont suit youll either get your money back or the loss is probably insignificant.

Mine is the "American", but if I was right handed, I'd get a silhouette in synthetic.

You need to make sure it's right for you, if you buy and take it back you can't just swap over. You will need to send your ticket back and have the one you sold back removed, only then once you have a free slot can you go and buy another one. Depending on your police force it could take a month or more to get your ticket back.

Iana im in France, so no need for spaces on tickets etc, they even list them as 'garden guns!'. Can even get it sent through the post! Just need to send a copy of my hunting liscense! Only recently that they started keeping a registration of new buyers of 22lr. Same time as they changed it so you can use it as a calibre for 'hunting'.

Paulus, I really like the nickel barrel as I am similar to you if I can get away with it. But does it not spook crows and stuff? (nother dumb novice q? sorry! LOL). Or stick some camo tape on??
