Been looking at these but unsure how they work? http://www.blackdogtrading.co.uk/product-info.php?lamping_with_lurchers_slip_lead-pid229.html Or should I get something along these lines? http://www.blackdogtrading.co.uk/product-info.php?hare_coursing_toggle_release_slip_lead-pid230.html Quote Link to post

alan81 110
the best slips iv used are bog standard dog leads just wrap the clasp around your hand loop the handle through the collar and hold with one finger then slip. 2 euro in the discount shop and they last for years. koda 83
I use a bit of rope with a knot in one end to hold onto and just put it through collar 2 Quote Link to post
buster gonads 862
I use 2 different slips, i use one released be a trigger that holds the collar to the lead when iam out lamping, with someone else holding the lamp, i like this type but find it abit clumsy if iam holding a lamp aswell. If iam on my own i use abit of cord, loop at one end, goes around the wrist, i thred the loose end through the D link on the dogs coller, and i hold the loose end in my fingers, i like a collar with a big D link away from the buckle and find the Strong Stuff terrier collers the best, it has a bigger D link than the lurcher coller i got off him, not to every ones taste but it suits me and the dog fine, the importent thing is to keep things simple, it works, buster.
