Minkenry 1,044
Hi all, I was hoping that someone on here can help me out. I have a friend in the UK that want's to get a mink, but hasn't had any luck catching one. Is there anyone on here who traps mink, or hunts them with dogs, who would be willing to help her out? If so, send me a private message and we'll talk further. Thanks! Edited November 7, 2013 by Minkenry Quote Link to post

Minkenry 1,044
Is she planning on using that mink for minkenry in the UK? No, she just want's one as a pet. She's been trying to get one for years now. She lives in Ireland, and can't seem to get any of the mink farmers to sell her one, and she's had no luck catching one ether. So since she's been at it for a couple years now without any luck, I said I'd try to find someone that would help her out. If she can't get someone close to her to catch her one, she's going to have to go all the way to France or maybe Denmark where she has connections to get a baby ranch mink. 1 Quote Link to post

She has plenty of experience with wild animals, and I'm sure that with my help she would do just fine with a wild caught adult. Quote Link to post
RubyTex 1,957
I don't think you're allowed to keep them at all (apart from the farms)...they're an invasive species which if caught have to be destroyed, plus i'm not sure the authorities would be pleased if they caught her with it.
