Westy76 546
Cheers for the replys lads and lasses. I've done some work over the weekend but a AB and a bulldog were chored out of the garden on the weekend near me and that was supposed to be a guard dog!!! Just goes to show they'll nick anything but I think there has to be a balance of decent security and your garden not looking like wormwood scrubs excersise yard. Quote Link to post
Guest vin
I got cameras that phone you or text you etc etc ..sensors,lights, silent sensors alarms that tell me when someone is on my property etc etc..But the best security of all is your neighbours..You watch their place and they watch yours...Tell em all and keep an eye out for them when your out and about..make a point of regularly questioning people who are living around you and keep the communication lines open.. The older folk sometimes spend lots of time watching the world outside and dont miss a trick going on out there.. Go out and buy them a Pen and paper pad,,tell em to write the number plates down on strange vehicles etc etc.. you will be suprised what they see and we dont. Watch out for them scammy fekks with the leaflets in their hands.. coming up your property snooping..I dont let them anywhere near with there fekking kebab shop menus. Trust is gained and earned these days..I am very wary of any strangers. Quote Link to post

CorkyJohn 808
I've never let anyone socialise with my dogs in the yard. Away from the house yes but not in their kennels. The lurcher only barks when someone is close to the back fence & my neighbours know this. The terriers are now the same. Engineers grease along the top of the fence which is a b*****d to get off. I'm gonna buy a cctv setup the same as we used on the garage as its good quality & about £100 on ebay......is it possible to dye terriers? Just thinking of turning these black'uns into plummers & they might have less chance of being taken.... Quote Link to post
bullx 12
nice kennels, your better getting a 12 gauge shotgun with cartridges, take the lead out of the cartridges and replace it with rocksalt,it wont kill your intruder but he wont sit down for a few months.works well on springers that tend to chase livestock. 1 Quote Link to post
