Sjt657 191
What you need is one of them fluke multi testers they advertise on here attach it to a flat metal plate on the roof then when there comfy put 1000v in it ....
spartan 99
Not that I'm. A cat hater or anything its just they kill your birds and that what i don't like i mean look what happed to poor fireman's goldie chicks and i don't want all my hard work of buying and breeding and feeding all because some little cat what's a piece of my birds no way
fireman 10,992
I'd do it very carefully where you are spartan ,but what will work is a little electric fence on the top of it.The trouble is your over looked and any cat in a live trap will be seen and chances are it'll be a neighbours so word will spread ,you could put some garden netting up and that will also stop them from walking on the roof as well.
spartan 99
That's what i was worried about if i am going to do any of this i got to be shady about it the only problem is i don't think stoping it from going on the roof will be enough with some netting because it sits at the bottom looking at my birds what about decoys or some thing. Like that ?
Outlaw Pete 2,224
Spartan: Check ye PM's. Then, perhaps, sit down alone with Fireman and have a little face to face natter.
Mr Muddy 141
I once had a problem with cats crapping in the gap between my workshop and where I park my van. Bought some of the little brown repellent sticks with spikes to dig them into the ground from the DIY store. There called either ‘pest stop’ or ‘pet stop’ and they worked fine. Plan-B would have been rodent glue boards.

trappa 518
I had a cat that was obsessed with my aviary. The bloody thing wouldnt leave my goshawk alone, it used to drive it mad. It doesnt anymore because its now dead. I wont say any more on an open forum. I think one solution would be to buy a rabbit trap and catch the thing then let it go a few miles away, though im not sure of the legalities of this. Obviously shooting it with an air rifle early one morning while no-one was about would be illegal. As would poisoning it with bait laced with paracetamol. Or trapping it and shooting it. Im not sure how much truth there is in this but a bloke i know reckons he has a paintball gun and shoots any that come in his garden with it. Not sure if this is a tall tale or not but it does sound like good fun!!
