I bought the components (reflector, ceramic bulb holder) 15 year ago wired it up myself and have had no trouble with blowing bulbs. Any animal food supplies or farm supplies should stock heat lamps.

Greenhouse tubular heaters on a timer is what I use and I think they are excellent and at the mo I got the timers on from11pm untill 6 am and probably costing me 6p a day

How safe are these too use in a wood structerd sleep area with felt roof. Im considering investing in one but it will need to be plugged into a socket in the house, im concerened with regards to damp causing electrical problems in the bulb holder and water possibly getting into it?? or should i stick with good bedding and a coat for safety ?? The pup will be 8 weeks old

I just go on ebay and look at ending soonest and my 4ft tubular heater with guard/cover I paid £16 delivered and they are safe
