We are delighted to report that the 2013 Birr Game Fair programme is now available to view on https://vimeo.com/78679990 Made by the inimitable Harry Cook and presented by Ingrid Houwers it features a good flavour of what, with the Irish Game Fair at Shanes Castle, fulfilled the objectives that we set for the fairs in Spring 2013: To deliver the two biggest and best Irish Game Fairs ever. AND as I state in the programme 'It is onward and upwards in 2014' with many new improvements already in place.

 

The Birr Castle event features the Five Nations Terrier & Lurcher Championships which will in 2014 be joined by a Five Nations Whippet Championship at Shanes.

 

We already have a good number of qualifiers in place for the Master McGrath Challenge, and the three Five Nations Championships so if you want one for your show please apply now to me at irishgamefair@btinternet.com giving show dates and venue.

Yes Margaret, Harry did a good job including excellent coverage of the digging, and the two Five Nations Championships.

 

Together with the racing coverage of the Master McGrath on the Shanes video , I think we did our bit to promote terriers and lurchers - and of course whippets!
