TOMO 26,067
It will only eat what it wants,, some ferrets are naturally greedy,, and will fatten easily,, you have to watch these,, or they get to fat,,, just feed it regular,, once a day is enough,, and give it different foods,, rabbits pigeons hare, bits of chicken ect ect,, a warm draft free cage and she will be fine ,, oh and water available all the time 2 Quote Link to post
Andrew Beirne 78
My hob puts on weight by just looking at meat so really have to watch him but then the jill is always on the light side but she eats plenty and well able to work and has the stamina to do a good days graft I have for each ferret ino obviously they don't drink from em all but they have plenty water Quote Link to post

The one 8,467
A good diet would be varied meat and clean water if you want to put weight on him dry grubs good for that but they need loads more water as it a crap feeding thing Quote Link to post
roosika 110
oryt sounds good thanks hes looking better not even a week ! Quote Link to post
lavyheed69 2
Kibble and meat will get him back to normal. Stay away from shite like cat/dog food and cat biscuits. Have you tried a duck soup as a sort of supplement? I know it's for poorly ferrets but it might be worth your while giving the ferret some once/twice a week until its looking a bit fatter. I've also heard that chicken baby food is good too (although I've not personally fed mine with it) This link gives you some recipes for the soup if you are interested. http://kristenmcdonald.com/portfolio/web/ferretfacts/www.ferretfacts.com/duck-soup-recipes.html Quote Link to post

hawkingyorkshire 6
Get some good meat down him mate, try dog food that tends to put weight on quick as well! the ferret will only eat when hungry so remember when there is still food in the hutch, hes full! atb brad Quote Link to post
