Has anyone ever brought the 8s spun poly 500g off eBay I think it's £9.95 free p&p

apparently its not bad for long nets but never used it myself.he does bigger spools to 1.25 kilo i think for £14.95 which is good value

It's good value for the money alright but I'd like to see if anyone else has used it for purse nets before I purches some

You could use it doubled up for purse nets, but it would still be light.

 

I just made a 25 yard long net out of it and would recommend it to anyone for making long net but not for purse nets. Just for info the 1.2 kilo spool will make the body of a 50 yard long net at 13 meshes deep. It knots like a dream and is really very nice to knit with. If despooled correctly it does not twist when loading needles.
