GAV*81 15
Hi i was just wondering if you shot a rabbit at 15 yards using theraband gold bands and 9mm steel balls how far would you have to pull the band back to kill it, would an arms length do it?
Skittles 3
I always use same technique and pull if through shot is safe from riqochets. I extend arm and draw back until thumb is near chin like a bow shot. Everybody is probably different i guess its whatever works for you. GAV*81 15
That's what ive been doing when practising at home fully extending my arm and drawing the band back to my chin, i cut a coke can in half and just wondered if it was enough power for a clean kill, thanks for the reply;)
youcanthide...BANG 1,051
Wouldnt use 9mm steel for rabbits mate, 12mm or even 14mm steel is better. Not alot of margin for error with 9mm steel.

youcanthide...BANG 1,051
No worries bud, with 9mm steel any less than a perfect shot wont kill it, i use 12mm lead so if i was to use steel it would be 14mm but thats my choice, i know kranky uses his monster lead conical bullets and they do some proper damage on a rabbit
GAV*81 15
Would 9mm be ok to knock a pheasant or pigeon out of a tree
Skittles 3
You running single or double bands? I never use anything less than 10mm with theraband gold. I run double theraband and anything less than 10mm makes the excess energy cause a painful moment and some colourful words.
Sheffield Catapults 71
You should have your bands cut to a length where your draw extends the bands to their maximum elongation, otherwise you will not benefit from the full power of your bandset. I prefer 10mm lead for rabbits. Hope that helps a bit
