Chubs 0
I think flick's about 10 month old now & the missus is away so thought i'd introduce her to the lamp, it's a bit still but i'm sick of waiting & she was more than ready, she's had at a guess over 20 day time rabbits up to now, I don't think it's because of the fact i've known what i'm doing this time & have been very chilled with pushing but this bitch has impressed me more than any other i've had, she slaughters them, most of this runs tonight were long & she took 4 out of 6...i think i'm in love. jigsaw 11,863
Chubbs mate how are ye.As you know I have the brother of your bitch. This morning was my 1st official morning out.My hunting partner and I left and went to a farm that is heaving with rabbits. We kept this spot so Willow my dog had a good chance of getting some experience.I have had a few rabbits in the last few weeks with him but I wanted to hold him back a bit.Today would have been the 1st day I used him with the ditch nets.He is a topper with the purse nets now so time to move to the bigger nets.Well ferrets were entered after the 8 nets on each side of the ditch were set up.As things would go we had to dig to the 1st rabbit, seeing as it was a stone ditch we had the rabbit extracted in no time.WILLOW was steady as a rock, watching and alert all the while. Then a rabbit bolted and ran from the ditch down hill and WILLOW hot on his arse, after 50 yards of a sprint and right up the bunnys arse he left out an earpiercing scream,he stopped in his tracks and held his right front paw up off of the ground. He has made shit of his leg.I'm f****n sick right now and hope to Jaysus he hasnt done any serious damage. After all the time I put into him and just 1 course and hes wrecked his leg.If its no better tommorow i'll have to visit the vet.I have to say he is a delight to own,he steady patient and very obedient(though his retrieving is a tad dodgy) heres a pic of him and my son,I'm very happy withthe dog and hope to hell hes ok.CHUBBS your bitch is a beaut and hope shes a world beater mate.Good luck with her in the future. lat 29
Hello Chubs, nice to see her again you have done a good job with her she is very similar to the sister I kept ( the one you really wanted ). Ive not had my 2 out yet on the lamp the ground is like concrete here. they have had a good few mooching around during the wet weather a month back, so i am pleased with them. Keep in touch mate and I will try and get some pics on. Got them on hoprfully. They were 9 months in this pic and at the time the ground was soft. Quote Link to post

The one i liked looks nice, wouldn't swap mine now though! How tall is the merle bitch? Would be good if we can get them together some time this season, Bet it's nice to see pup's you've bred rather than them just dissapearing as the usually do. There's plenty of time for mine to get bad traits but at the mo she has just taken to everything naturally. I'm very pleased, one of the better 100 quids i've spent! Quote Link to post
