Same here after gutting snared rabbits you get air rifle pellets and shotgun pellets in them the ones you pick up aren't badly hit but how many crawl away and die ?.

Happened a few times and on one permission in the middle of no where , but on my latest permission the rabbits are really skittish and i think there getting shot at by drive by airgunners

Makes me cringe seeing that, if my bird was to catch one and i let him feed up and he found the pellet he would be as good as gone, should check more often, especially with the nobheads round here

Air rifle is no different to shotguns I have found both in rabbits before, we all miss from time to time, just one of those things

The only reason I posted was I've never come acros this before in 28 years hunting.

This pellet was on agreement between myself and rabbitcatche1 it was a milbro calladonen

in .22 sitting just under the skin and in perfect shape that's the only reason I called it a pea shooter a good legally powered air rifle wold of done more damage and who the hell uses them pellets anymore ATB mark

I've found bullets in the bottom of my ferret cages a few times, so its not just airguns and shotguns, even had rabbits with crossbow bolts in them, and still running around

One of my permissions lets his neighbor loose with his shotgun. The dickhead with his shiny new shotgun has caused more damage than good. Shot quite a few rabbits with half their ears missing or holes in them. We all miss the kill zone at some time but this guy is something else.

Ive found plenty of pellet in rabbits and as above it only takes a gust of wind to take that pellet from the head to the arse

Should we use pellet guns on windy days ???
