Went for a mooch for cuple hours last night with a friend his first cross beddy grey and my saluki wip grey while the wind was up, the night started great killing 4 bunnys before leaving the first field. We then carried on for 2 hours racking a total of 10 bunnys in two hours which made our night. But just recently my bitch (saluki wip grey) [BANNED TEXT] we have lamped the odd hare (because i cant help meself ) she has let out the odd whimper whilst in chase like she is frustrated that shes not catching them fast enough as i mostly use her on bunnys which are just a fast dart and snatch. Was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and cud give any advise, shes still got abit more maturing yet as shes only 13months old on her first season, so im not holding any grudges on her shes a great runner just hoping its something she will grow or learn to get out of. Any advise would be appreciated

Lots of dogs do it,,, more than the lads on here will let you believe,,my dog does it Venus ,,, also herd a good few coursing dogs do it out on the fens in years gone by when it was legal,,

i wouldnt worry about an odd wimper mate my dog often does it and thats on rabbits when he right on to of them and their getting the better of him at close quarters,we also had 10 rabbits last night

I,d keep it off big bunnys untill she,s abit older if i were you or you might find her doing more than a whimper, atb with her, buster.

I'd agree with Buster, leave them alone for a bit til shes older. Sounds like shes doing well so don't rush her.

Cheers for the advise, i was thinking hold her back for a bit longer on the big ens just tend to get abit slip happy, think its me that needs holding back lol. And MIck c ..... Fishings for girls!
