lindsay 1
I was thinking about getting my wee lad who is 11, a 410 or something along these lines. What do you think might be the best for a lad of this age? price range £150 max, would be used for rabbits crows pigeons and duck maybe, cheers lindsay Quote Link to post
Joe 2
410 is a good choice. I had one when I was about that age & could hit everything! I stopped shooting for a while and am now shooting with a twelve bore & can't hit jack sh*t Quote Link to post
doddsy1970 9
I would personally go for a 28 bore a little further range but like rocking horse shite for £150 and cartridges are exspensive Quote Link to post
wag 13
i would go for a 12 bore with 24grams cartridges thats how i started my boy off when he was 8, then you dont have to change the gun when he gets older and if your only going to spend £150 or lower you can cut the stock down .so when he gets older or bigger you can put the bit that you cut off back on to make it fit . harrycatcat 31
Lucky feckers. My lad has never shown any interest in shooting only football and girls. Quote Link to post

Yokel Matt 918
A single barrel .410. Its will teach him to stalk quarry as the range is not as great as a 12g and will prevent the automatic follow up shot with the second barrel if he misses. Will save you cash on shells and will hopefully make him a better shot as he will take more time and make them count. You can pick up single barrel .410 for that money easy... maybe even one with a 3" chamber if you want a little more poke. Quote Link to post
