perthshire keeper 1,239 Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 Is it a game farm or are they for a shoot you worked on both we used to rear all our own and sell the rest.......and some years depending on how the boss was feeling and what orders we had, we would sell all the pheasants and buy our 13,000 in you see ours were real good birds reared in small sheds on grass so they could sell for as much as four fifty a bird but we could buy in for 2. a bird, the down side is bought in stuff was shite and we had a struggle with it, but thats why you have good keepers. its all about the bottom line at the end of the day Quote Link to post

nod 285 Posted November 28, 2013 Report Share Posted November 28, 2013 Will try and get some pics off the shoot I was underkeeper on, nearly 100 partridge sheds for gamefarming and 13000 partridge and pheasant for the shoot. 2 of us done that, my mate started gamefarming 2 year ago and does 45000 mostly on his Todd.
