gnasher16 30,118
I used to like groves but after seeing that ringside with him he's a gobby disgrace. Trying to cover up the fact he's bricking it. When I saw them square off at the presser a little while back I saw nothing but fear in groves eyes. Froch will bully him, and then do him. Groves has never been tested. Scraped a win with degale. Used to like him but I'm looking forward to watching him get slapped about now. I think these shows they do are horrible its almost embarrassing to watch.............id love to of seen them try to put someone like Lloyd Honeyghan on a sofa with an opponent and try to get them fired up he could barely string a sentance together !......Its not about who talks the best or who gives the best stare............its just a man against a man in a fight.............the rest of it is just meaningless promotion.
*The*Field*Marshall* 674
Welcome to the site taggy, this fight has already been somewhat exhuasted on another thread, so I'm repeating what I've said before. . I agree, I think The Cobra is indeed on the slide and is probably ripe for taking for a number of fighters out there, but I don't think Groves is one of them, I haven't seen him beat anyone good enough to make me think he's got a chance of defeating Froch. I think he'll keep it competetive until the middle rounds with his skills, providing he sticks with a smart plan, if he doesn't he won't last very long, he's not tough enough to take what Carl can give. . I don't think too much should be made of Groves' skills either, Froch can box nicely too when he chooses too. ATB
Taggy123 59
Thanks mate i just think froch as come along at the right time the same as steve collins did when ben and eubank were just past there best. Its a shame calazaghie had just finished as froch came through. Atb taggy.
redcharge 378
Couldn't pick a winner to be honest, I may have a little flutter on a draw either way I can't wait till fight night should be a belter

Genuinely you can see their body language, i think froch said to him 'you dont deserve this, im gonna put you back in your place' and groves was quiet and said something like 'we'll see' but body language wise i think that was the realisation time for him. also in my opinion, the way hes gobbing off reeks of 'i dont think i can win so ill gob off' asi remember seeing a totally different george groves against james degale. composed, cool, calm. came accross really well, and you looked at james, calling names etc. see where im coming from gnash? Kind of but its too early yet........naturally on fight night you want to look into your opponents eyes and see whats going on in there........but 3 weeks out from a fight in a tv studio with make up on and a suit......it means very little.........you dont get to that level by being afraid of another man,if Groves bottles anything it will be the occassion not the man. Taggy123 59
Once these boxers start going on dancing programmes and chat shows they are realising they are at the end of there career and looking for other avenues to go down. Froch could possibly have lost his edge.

Im really looking forward to the fight though. i call it carl froch, but groves is a decent enough prospect to 'take the torch' at super middle, if froch was to retire. lawrence 657
i thought one was as bad as the other on the ringside show, turned it off to be honest, to cringe worthy for me. you can get 13/2 for Groves on points, which is the only way he can win, well worth a score for added interest.
