Rake aboot 4,935
Yeh bud Got right into them yesterday, brilliant day, very hard work. They are proper hill Roe Sussex, and they can be bloody hard stalking. One crawl had be knackered but cheesing,, and that was without a kill. We are aiming for 50 beasts this year between us both, and have 2 months and 15 left to get, so should be a nice few days yet. Quote Link to post
sussex 5,777
Had a couple of goes at them & as you say hard work , I start on the fallow does this week on one of my places , access is very limited due to various events they have on their so it will be long days this week & with a lot of cover still up trying to get them in the woodland is going to be a problem but hopefully I should get one or two .. Until then I need to figure out how Im going to fit a full fallow in the boot of my punto as we've just been offered one for 3 quid a kilo...However comes unjointed!" This wouldn't be a buck by any chance would it ??? Why ? I have no idea what sex it will be, The orders coming from the Forest of Dean so I will assume it would be either a culled (Not too mashed I hope) road accident deer. It hasn't actually been shot yet the order is for after Christmas. Why if you dont mind me asking? Quote Link to post
