trenchfoot 4,243
you would be better of with something bigger than a bullxwhippet imo Why's that?As pesting dogs they do very well. But for all round lurcher work, particularly on rougher terrain they need that bit more stature, especially the half cross. I'm not being kennel blind 'cos I have one. I'd love to see one put to a good coursing saluki whippet though. Anyone tried it? Quote Link to post
lady hunter 162
not enough speed or stamina to be a decent alrounder Quote Link to post
johnny 2 367
You could well be right. But I can't help feeling that the right whippet cross with a proper pure would be handy. And should have stamina to burn? Quote Link to post

Talking half x here by the way! Edited November 5, 2013 by trenchfoot Quote Link to post

An athletic type bull breed and a leggy/beefy whippet will/may have other types within their breeding and in the half cross of some such dogs some beauties may be created. And the odd lump 1 Quote Link to post

Unless you breed the best lurcher to the best lurcher. But even then............. Quote Link to post
