Itching Around Front Legs

sorry to bother you all again lads /lasses- troy is 12 weeks old now [springer] and he does a lot of scratching to the back of his front legs- his backside is a little thin on hair also [he was like that when I got him] he is fine and healthy in every other way [little terror to tell the truth ] he is on dry food beta grey hound & was wondering if the food is triggering something off or could it be his bedding [straw] he has no fleas & been treated with fipronil drops any ideas please -billy

Try changing his food to a fish and potato one and see if it helps.

Most allergies are triggered to environmental things like dust mites rather than food.

 

It's a little young for first presentation of atopic dermatitis but bare in mind. I'd go for cleaning kennel, treat for fleas etc and monitor.

Not nesacerally food allergies are becoming more common, with dermatitis would expect a lot more iching and not in just in a couple of place, try using vet bed for the pup, as its easily washed on a boil wash and drys quickly.
