gonetoearth 5,144
Thats the problem with x bred gundogs your going in to uncharted water very hard to stop once its started thr transition from dummies to live is all ways a testing time could try a collar but mite go the other way or get to it and give it the biggest fright of its life if you know what i mean !!! But the cocker in it would make me think twice about either Edited October 31, 2013 by gonetoearth Quote Link to post
Casso 1,261
Teach the pup to bark , that way it will give it a context as to when to open up and especially if it's directed at you it will channel that certain energy in your direction Another element is if you do give her a direction for the bark , you can then use the "down"as a way of getting her to stop, always give another command as a way of stopping her speaking , that way you don't lead to the problem of excessive barking because it doesn't lead to anything , it always chained to another command which is the release Quote Link to post

gonetoearth 5,144
Its a gun dog a x hunt retrieve breed not a hound they should not bark in the field , and would be looked down upon at any driven day , all so encouraging other Dogs in the field its a no no , ok if your rough shooting on your own Quote Link to post
Casso 1,261
Tie her up to a post, after that you can act menacing , staring , stalking her, quick movements or you can tease her with an item she wants , food or ball , trying to get the action first then adding the command , Quote Link to post

Casso 1,261
I teach a dog where to play so he wont play in the house , I teach him to hop up on the sofa so I can also teach a command to get down without confronting him, I give him a command to hop up onto me so he won't do it at other times I teach him where to speak so he won't do it without the command , Quote Link to post
