So.....who has pressed yes then ,because somebody has,and if it was you would you really feel it was acceptable to leave your children(the most precious of things )in a room and go off down the road a few hundred yards to have a drink .And,if so please tell us who you are,and if you are happy to do this then I sincerely hope we never have to see you on the news saying that your child has been abducted....or worse.

My own opinion (just that my opinion) is that the Mccann's are uncaring socially inept parents, possibly the mother recalls before the kids tied her down and still wants to have the life she led previously? perhaps the father wont make any changes to his previous life and this is causing tension in the house??

How exactly do you come to that conclusion. Are you Clement Freud?

What world are you living in, its certainly not the real one. Parents are responsible for their children until they become adults.

Both parents are Class A Wankers whose thoughts were only on going out & enjoying themselves & were quite willing to neglect their children in order to do that.

chris in one post you say you NEVER NEVER NEVER take your eyes off your kids / leave them un attended.... in the next your agreeing with compo that you have lost kids in supermarkets etc.... make your mind up man....... think what you like but only the most heanus of crimes deserves the punishment similar to that the parents are going through at the moment.......but if you think the punishment of losing there child is deserved payment for there mistake/ crime then thats up to you, but you must have strange morals if you do

Try re-reading what I wrote. There's a vast difference between leaving my children unattended and taking my eyes off them for a few seconds. You're trying to equate the two and you know it's nothing even remotely similar.

 

The worst punishment a parent can have is to lose their child but if they're negligent then they need to be punished by law. Dumbass parents don't get a free ride because they make mistakes especially mistakes as grave as this.

 

It all comes back to that whole, 'let's leave the kids while we go and have a meal,' mentality. Them f*****g up and losing a child is not, and should not be, punishment enough. They are the parents, and guardians, of that child and have a duty of care to look after her. Their negligence has seen that them fail at there primary duty as parents.

 

I ask you again, would you leave your toddlers unattended while you and your wife/girlfriend go for a meal?

 

my answer would be yes they should of been, to the best of my knowledge i have not said anything to the contery(sp) all im trying to get across is if they are not responsable for what happened themselves,i think losing there child is more of a punishment to them than any court could dish out for there lack of parental abbility..

But ensuring that child is adequately looked after is the primary duty of a parent. They didn't do that. They couldn't even be arsed checking themselves and even their 'friend' didn't go in and physically check the last time...

 

Losing a child is punishment alright but it isn't any kind of justice. Even if they never see the inside of a jail cell I hope they're dragged over the coals, for it, if nothing else than to serve as a warning to other dumbass parents.
