gnasher16 30,118
Like any capital city your not going to get a true representation of the capitals people in the tourist areas.....you either visit as a tourist or to get into the life you cant do both in the same place. NEWKID 27,157
Cheers lads, well I'm up my uncles in Molsey and we're going to commute in each day, it is going to be the touristy things for the kids, I want them to see all the sites.. Personally I like London, always have, stayed on the edge for over 6 months with work in one stint and worked all over plus had a few great drinks up here... But this trip is for the kids, it will Big Ben, the Tower of London, the dungeons and anything else touristy... We done the duck tour a couple of years back with my eldest but after it setting alight on the Thames the other day we might give it a miss lol.. Any suggestions from you Londoners will be welcome.. Cheers lads
gnasher16 30,118
I know it can be a nightmare trying to fit everything in so if your at Tower Bridge and the London Dungeons you can carry on up the South Bank and do Hms Belfast....The London Eye and the London Aquarium before slipping over Westminster Bridge to Big Ben............bit of an action packed day i know but they are all within a spit of each other.

Cheers lads Do Greenwhich Market at the weekend if you get the chance and the Naval college & museum there too............get a boat there and back from the city. The college and museum wont cost you a bean and to stand in the place where Nelson laid in state is pretty awesome (cue Jeruselam in the background) Edited October 30, 2013 by WILF

Mister Gain 1,764
If you do get to Greenwich, it's worth a trek into Greenwich Park, make your way up that hill to the Royal Observatory just to get the kids photos astride the Meridian Line... one foot in the west and one in the east. If it's a clear day there's a superb panoramic view from the top of that hill.
