mjr88 50
Hi all I was initially going to buy the NS50 for my .22 rimfire, but after reading many good reviews on the NE500, I'm now not so sure. My only concern, and the only negative feedback that I have read on the night eye 500 is the build quality, compared to the more popular Nitesite units.Any info on the night eye both good or bad will be greatly appreciated, as I am a complete newbie where night vision is concerned, and I just want to invest in a product that will be the most reliable and long lasting,Regards,John

blackdug 90
Does not look like it....I have been asking similar questions and after my own research Anthony's nite hunter unit seemed the best to me but the fella does not seem to do himself no favours on the feedback side of things ....I was looking at night eye last night and he seems to have raised his prices in the last few months from 350 quid to 420 ....let us know how you get on with your decision ....all the best
pinkfoot 1 9
you can make one for 200 quid or less and it will be as good as any thing you can buy if not better

Mister Gain 1,764
John I purchased a NE500 in March. At the time it was a similar price to the NS50, but with the performance, distance wise, to the NS200. I also pondered the option of DIY, but after reading quite a few posts on different forums felt I couldn't be waiting around for items from the far east, and if there were any problems with an item, getting it sorted would extend the waiting. Also, the 1 year warranty on the NE500 appealed. I have no issues on the quality of the unit, and it allows me to spot bunnys well outside my air rifle range. I have spotted bunnys clearly at 150 yards with it. It didn't come in any fancy wrappings but in cardboard boxes. It was well packaged though. I would be interested in what quality issues other people have with the unit. Here it is on my rifle. I don't know if you have already seen it, but GeordiehuntersTV did a youtube video on setting it up. They said they would do another one of it being used, but it hasn't appeared yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHQ8xj1rq6o
