SimonC_Here 36
Thanks simon that helps. Would be good to see a pic of the xcortech one of secretagentmole too! Simon have you had any problems using it like that? Ever shot it or broke it? Nope, never shot or broke it. I do check after every shot that it hasn't moved though. I think it would be silly not to on a recoiling gun. The bit that clamps to the rifle is attached by a slot to the actual working bit and this can move up and down if you don't tighten the screw up enough, but mine's always been a bit stiff. It's easy to put on and take off though, and fits in the rifle bag. I've not checked it directly against another chrono, but my pellet speed from the combro matched what the scan at the club says within a few feet per second. secretagentmole 1,701
The Xcortech 3200 has a metal funnel and tube through which the shot passes, yes it is a small hole, but with care it is easy enough to use! Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Approx 30mm! Quote Link to post
dangerousdan 16
So when using it you just put the end of the muzzle up to the opening as in line as you can judge by eye and fire it through?I take it the end of the muzzle of the 97 won't actually fit in the hole itself. secretagentmole 1,701
I just lined mine up by eye and fired into my advanced composite wood fibre pellet stop (cardboard box filled with newspaper). It works! Quote Link to post
Wildling 520
Out of interest lads has anyone done a comparison test against something like a Chrony F1 Chronograph ? Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Mine has been tested against a Combro (it was 0.1 ft lb under it), which was identical to a Chrony used by an RFD. Quote Link to post
