dustyj 63
If you fetch a dog up in the right way your chances are far greater.my lab greyhound hasent been a bit of bother in kennells in car etc.but things change when your in the field Quote Link to post
moonlighter 1,164
For me, deerhound x the easiest and saluki x the hardest to live with. They whine, dig, chew and are a fooking pain in the arse as pets, but out in the field it all becomes worth while. 2 Quote Link to post
shaaark 10,752
Collie/grey X Deerhound/grey. Worked well, biddable, laid back, never had one fight and robust. Agree 100%, and so laid back and easy to live with, and the bitch we have now you'd hardly knew you had a dog in the house, can't fault em Quote Link to post
Hot Meat 3,109
Deerhound x been easiest I ever had, not had any that were bad tho but the deerhound x was easiest to have around Quote Link to post
Carraghs Gem 1,675
this deerhpund based bitza at my feet and collie x... worst to live with were saluki x, whippet, pure grey Quote Link to post
buster gonads 862
Deerhound blooded dogs have been the easiest for me too but tbh i,v not rearly had much trouble with lurchers of any kind, oh, except one that i bought at 6 months old that had,nt been socialised, the beddy/whippet sat at the side of me now is as good as gold, buster. For example, I really like collie/grey x deer/greys, and collie/grey x whippet/greys, or a mix of both, and never had any bother with em, cos they suit me down to the ground Edited October 28, 2013 by shaaark Quote Link to post
birddog 1,354
when i was younger i had a c/g x d/g very easy going, all he did was eat sleep and hunt but then again so did i , the key probably is to get your mutts out regular and often, satisfy they're mental and physical needs and most lurchers will be easy to live with 1 Quote Link to post
satan80 358
i've only had a couple of beddy whippets when i was a kid and a wheaton x, but like a few have said, collie/grey x deer/grey is by far the easiest and most laid back dog i've been around. My 8 month old bitch is completely chilled out (she lives indoors), great with people, kids, other dogs, a lot more switched on when we're out and about but she's genuinely the easiest dog i've been around 1 Quote Link to post
Moorside 642
Seems deerhound in the mix tends to produce calm easy going animals....but as has been said a well excercised dog is a content one. My little beddy whippet is by far the easiest going dog ive ever had....but I am comparing it to my terriers 1 Quote Link to post
