Never had a lurcher that was a problem, it was always the terriers that caused havoc!

A Beddy/Whippet i once owned, never ever caused me grief and always gave its best. The dogs that have given me the most grief have been Collie types, nightmares all to often, yet a cross that id never be

my 2 now are very quite in the kennel, the only time they will play up, if i leave 1 and take the other out, but suppose you could say that of any x really. i have to give 1 bone and sneak the other o

Collie/grey X Deerhound/grey. Worked well, biddable, laid back, never had one fight and robust.

Agree 100%, and so laid back and easy to live with, and the bitch we have now you'd hardly knew you had a dog in the house, can't fault em

Deerhound blooded dogs have been the easiest for me too but tbh i,v not rearly had much trouble with lurchers of any kind, oh, except one that i bought at 6 months old that had,nt been socialised, the beddy/whippet sat at the side of me now is as good as gold, buster.

Likes been said a well exercisd is ghe the key imo

I think the ones that are the easiest are the one's you get on with the best some how on a level with each other

Good point that mate, I also believe you bond far better etc with a type that you genuinely like and want, not one you get just cos they're the current trend. For example, I really like collie/grey x deer/greys, and collie/grey x whippet/greys, or a mix of both, and never had any bother with em, cos they suit me down to the ground

when i was younger i had a c/g x d/g very easy going, all he did was eat sleep and hunt but then again so did i , the key probably is to get your mutts out regular and often, satisfy they're mental and physical needs and most lurchers will be easy to live with

i've only had a couple of beddy whippets when i was a kid and a wheaton x, but like a few have said, collie/grey x deer/grey is by far the easiest and most laid back dog i've been around.

My 8 month old bitch is completely chilled out (she lives indoors), great with people, kids, other dogs, a lot more switched on when we're out and about but she's genuinely the easiest dog i've been around

Seems deerhound in the mix tends to produce calm easy going animals....but as has been said a well excercised dog is a content one. My little beddy whippet is by far the easiest going dog ive ever had....but I am comparing it to my terriers :D
