Dubba 72
Don't knock it I saw it done in Saudi a few years back. They had a hare skin covering the car and hid it in some cover. As soon as the pup went forward and caught the scent the car took of. With a modern RC it turned very well and they were able to change speeds to suit the dog. It did seem pretty effective. If I hadn't stopped with the Lurchers when my old girl died I'd defiantly give it ago with a pup 1 Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Sounds like a novelty idea to me. Maybe fun. But don't think it's got any place in training or bringing on a lurcher pup? Throwing a rabbit skin dummy works for me Quote Link to post
sikastag_1 689
Just when you think you've heard it all.......BOOM! What happened to getting the dog prepared and fit then entering it on suitable rabbits to bring it on. Next it will be in the falconry section " anybody used a remote control plane to train their hawk?" 1 Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
I can see why it might seem like a good idea, and it certainly wouldn't do any harm. But just take your pup for walks and focus on the basic training and when it's physically mature enough introduce it to quarry. You don't need to be doing anything fancy to get it ready for hunting....hunting is as natural as it gets for a hunting dog, so just let your pup be a pup, train it to be relatively obedient and when it's ready let it be a hunter, simple as that! 1 Quote Link to post
