mybrainhurts 23
As its getting close to bonfire night I was just wondering how ferrets react to fireworks going off , are they the ok with them or the same as other animals and go mental or does it scare them shitless ?? Only asking cos I live in a council estate and round this time of year it starts sounding like Beirut outside . My ferrets are in their hutch in the shed Quote Link to post
Kaiserdog 20
I too live on an estate, & yes ferrets are generally sensitive to loud noises, two of mine just about tolerate the noise but one of my Jill's freaks out, I try & exercise them in their outdoor run a bit earlier to try & tire them out & feed them up the few night & days of the fireworks, difficult time! The one 8,535
Mine are fine i think shooting bolting rabbits help but if your ferrets are skittish try a bit of carpet over the hutch it will make it dark and suppress some of the noise Quote Link to post
mybrainhurts 23
Cheers for the advice Quote Link to post
onthehunt 40
Mine aren't phased by loud noises aside from my eu hob who will be only a touch jumpy. Generally no ferrets I've ever had react badly to loud noises when they passed the age of 20 weeks or so. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Mine are not bothered, they just think the banging about means some one's coming to feed them Quote Link to post
GreyRake 108
Mine don't bat an eyelid either. Just sleep through it. Quote Link to post
