I'm afraid I agree with bazil. Why on earth would you keep a litter of 12 pups if you haven't got homes lined up?

 

Halved to 6 on day 1 and that's more realistic. Keep 2 back, 1 to a mate and 3 to rehome.

ok so read the original post and this one !!! the pups were 6 week on the 19th oct so not realkly ready for another week, there were ten of them hes keeping 2 his mates having 2!! 10 - 4 = 6! 6 decently bred bull x pups at that price well raised, shouldnt be to hard to rehome! and thats not my point my point is that the prick stuck his nose in with his opinions like so many others do slating a man for trying to sell his litter! hes paid his money as a donator to put on his ad, if people are not interested they should keep there nose up there own arse where it belongs!

It's a forum. I'm a donator too. Never sold a dog mind.

 

And it's my opinion that half this litter should of been culled.

Go on Google and have a look on lurcher link at the dogs in rescue centres. I bet half of them were bred by lads on here.

well it's judge Judy time and like the rest of the thl coven of witches I'll give you the benefit of my valuable opinion.

The lad has held his hand up and says he's struggling. We all make mistakes. If his wife is anything like mine he's stressed out bigtime. A litter of pups are great fun until you can't shift them. If he'd shifted the lot some of the thl witches would be calling him a peddler and worse. There'd be a lot of jealousy at his good luck.

As it is he didn't cull them. I'm not bothered in the slightest by any amount of blood and guts, but I couldn't cull a pup. I just couldn't do it. I couldn't even dock a pup or take off the dew claws. Maybe he's queasy like me in that regard.

Give him a break, the last thing he needs is the wagging finger of the thl coven.

I looked at the post as a mate of mine said hed seen it and to have a look at the pups cos hes looking for a bull x and thought they looked alright, dont agree myself with culling at birth as you could by all means drown the best half of the litter, but what do I know im sure theres many men like bazil who can pick a pup straight from the womb!!! we dont all have that option so we have to make do with what we end up with.

I looked at the post as a mate of mine said hed seen it and to have a look at the pups cos hes looking for a bull x and thought they looked alright, dont agree myself with culling at birth as you could by all means drown the best half of the litter, but what do I know im sure theres many men like bazil who can pick a pup straight from the womb!!! we dont all have that option so we have to make do with what we end up with.

this is why i dont breed my lurchers. dogs or bitches. there are a lot of quality dogs bred by folk that hav;nt thought things through properly. there is a pool of quality animals that you can take your pic from and help them into a life they need. therefore lessening the problem. or you can breed more. and make the problem grow.

cant wait for it pal!! been looking a while for an out and out ferreting dog that can knock a few off on the lamp aswell! these just seemed to good to be true, spoke to paul a few times now and what a genuine bloke! the history and the breeding of the pups was just right for me! glad he didnt bucket half the litter to make things a bit easier on himself or id have shit out!!!

Good luck with pups, if people were genuinely breeding to keep one there self and want best for the bitch they would only keep a handful max from birth. Far too many lurcher and pups about and this is the main reason!
